Choosing the right English program

Who can enroll?

Programs are organized for teen learners ages 13–17, college students, adults, and business professionals. Corporate English Training is available for organizations. A parent or legal guardian must purchase and manage enrollment for every minor. Corporate Lingua Academy does not enroll children under 13 in live English instruction. Suitability also depends on the learner’s goals, ability to participate online, scheduling, and instructor availability.

Which program should I choose?

Choose Teen English for age-appropriate school and communication development; College English for university, academic, campus, internship, and early-career needs; Adult English for practical daily, personal, travel, study, or general workplace communication; and Business English for professional, management, client, sales, leadership, or industry-specific communication. Organizations seeking training for employees should request a Corporate English proposal.

What is the difference between Adult English and Business English?

Adult English can combine everyday communication, general workplace English, travel, community life, further education, and personal confidence. Business English concentrates more deeply on professional situations such as meetings, presentations, interviews, client conversations, leadership, sales, negotiation, professional writing, and role-specific communication.

Are lessons private or group-based?

The four monthly online store programs—Teen, College, Adult, and Business English—are private, one-to-one lessons. Focused 30-minute sessions are also private. Corporate proposals may include executive coaching, private employee lessons, small groups, workshops, or a blended format depending on the agreed scope.

What is the difference between a 30-minute session and a 45-minute program lesson?

A focused 30-minute session addresses one defined topic or immediate communication objective. Monthly 45-minute programs provide ongoing instruction across connected skills and are sold in plans of 8, 12, 16, or 20 private sessions. A focused session is not automatically part of a monthly program unless the product description states otherwise.

What English levels do you teach?

Lessons can be adapted across a range of proficiency levels. The pace, language, explanations, and activities are adjusted to the learner. Suitability depends on the learner’s age, goals, current ability, scheduling, and capacity to participate in live online instruction. Contact the Academy if you are unsure which option is appropriate.

Is there a placement assessment?

The intake process and initial interaction help identify strengths, recurring gaps, communication needs, and priorities. This internal learning review guides instruction, but it is not an accredited examination, an official CEFR score, or a government- or university-issued language certificate.

Lesson experience and teaching method

Are all lessons online?

Yes. Instruction is delivered live online. Learners need a stable internet connection, a compatible computer or device, working audio, and access to the confirmed meeting platform.

Which online platform is used?

Meeting and access instructions are provided during onboarding or scheduling. The confirmed platform may depend on the program and current delivery arrangements. Learners should test their device, internet connection, microphone, and any required link or application before the lesson.

What happens during a private lesson?

A lesson normally combines a clear objective, focused instruction, active use of English, and specific feedback. Activities may include guided conversation, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation work, role-play, presentation rehearsal, interview practice, or a realistic academic or workplace simulation. The exact balance depends on the learner’s goals.

Does every learner follow the same curriculum?

No. Programs use a structured learning direction, but lesson content is adapted to the learner’s starting level, priorities, pace, interests, responsibilities, and recurring communication needs. A student preparing for a presentation will not receive the same lesson as an adult practicing travel English or a manager preparing for a difficult meeting.

Are learning materials included?

The instructor selects or develops appropriate lesson activities and may recommend resources for continued practice. A separate book, paid resource, assessment, or BookStore product is not included unless the specific product page or written agreement says that it is.

Can I bring my own document, presentation, or example?

Relevant learner-created or organization-approved material may sometimes be used for instruction. Remove confidential, private, proprietary, restricted, or personally identifying information before sharing. Do not submit trade secrets, protected records, unreleased company information, or another person’s work without permission.

Will I receive homework?

Practice between lessons may be recommended according to the learner’s goals, time, and program. Outside practice can support progress, but the type and amount will vary. Completing practice does not guarantee a particular result.

Will I work with the same instructor?

Private instruction is currently delivered by the Academy’s lead instructor, which supports continuity from intake through ongoing lessons. If delivery arrangements ever change, applicable scheduling or instructor information will be communicated.

Pricing, packages, and purchasing

How much do the monthly private programs cost?

Eight-session monthly plans currently start at $160 for Teen English, $180 for College English, $200 for Adult English, and $240 for Business English. Each program also offers 12-, 16-, and 20-session choices. Prices are in USD. The current product page and checkout control if a price has changed.

Why do prices differ by program?

Each audience requires a different instructional focus, preparation approach, level of specialization, and set of communication scenarios. Business and professional coaching may require role-specific, industry-specific, leadership, client, presentation, sales, or writing preparation. The exact current price appears on the relevant product page and at checkout.

Is a monthly plan an automatic subscription?

The product page and checkout describe the purchase terms in effect. Do not assume automatic renewal unless checkout expressly identifies the purchase as recurring. Contact the Academy before ordering if you want to confirm the payment structure for a particular plan.

What happens after I purchase?

The Academy reviews the order and uses the contact information provided at checkout to send onboarding and scheduling instructions. The learner—or the parent or legal guardian for a minor—provides goals, current challenges, time zone, availability, and other relevant learning information. Teen learners must be ages 13–17, and guardian authorization must be confirmed before instruction begins. Lesson times are not final until confirmed.

Does purchasing guarantee my preferred schedule?

No. Checkout purchases a program or session package; it does not guarantee a specific day or time. Scheduling is confirmed after availability, the learner’s time zone, and the selected plan are reviewed. Contact the Academy before purchasing if only one narrow time is possible.

Are taxes or other charges included in the displayed price?

The final checkout screen shows the amount collected for the order, including any applicable taxes, shipping, discounts, or other charges. Review the complete checkout total before submitting payment.

Do you offer corporate pricing?

Yes. Corporate programs are quoted individually because learner count, training format, assessment needs, custom content, scheduling, reporting, coordination, and program length affect the scope. Organizations should request a proposal rather than purchasing individual retail plans for a team without first discussing requirements.

Scheduling, time zones, and missed lessons

Which time zone does the Academy use?

Scheduling is coordinated in Pacific Time (PT). “PT” is used because Pacific Standard Time and Pacific Daylight Time change seasonally. Learners in other time zones are welcome when a workable time is available.

When is my lesson time confirmed?

A preferred time is not guaranteed at checkout. The schedule is confirmed after the Academy reviews instructor availability, the learner’s location or time zone, and the frequency of the selected plan.

Can I begin immediately after purchasing?

Do not assume that an immediate or same-day appointment is available. The learner must complete the required onboarding and receive a confirmed lesson time before attending. Start timing depends on communication, availability, and completion of the necessary information.

Can I reschedule a lesson?

Requests received at least 24 consecutive hours before a scheduled session may be moved to another available time within the active plan period. A requested replacement time is not guaranteed and is reserved only after written confirmation. Late cancellations and no-shows are normally counted as used sessions. Review the Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy for complete requirements.

Do unused lessons roll over?

Not automatically. A monthly private lesson package remains active for 60 calendar days from the confirmed program start date. All sessions, including timely rescheduled sessions, must occur within that period. An extension applies only when the Academy confirms it in writing, an Academy-side issue prevented delivery, or applicable law requires otherwise.

What if I arrive late?

A late arrival does not normally extend the scheduled ending time because another commitment may follow. If the learner cannot attend, contact the Academy as early as possible and follow the applicable cancellation terms.

Progress, outcomes, and certificates

How quickly will I improve?

There is no responsible fixed answer. Progress depends on starting level, attendance, participation, outside practice, program length, and the difficulty of the goal. Some improvements may be noticed quickly, while fluency, accuracy, pronunciation, academic writing, or professional communication can require sustained work.

How is progress recognized?

Progress is considered in relation to the learner’s goals and starting point. Examples may include longer and clearer responses, improved listening, fewer repeated errors, stronger pronunciation, better organized writing, more confident participation, or improved performance in a practiced communication task.

Are particular results guaranteed?

No. Corporate Lingua Academy does not guarantee fluency by a particular date or promise a school grade, test score, admission, graduation, job offer, promotion, salary increase, sale, negotiation, contract, or other academic or business result. The service provides instruction, practice, and feedback; the learner remains responsible for participation and application.

Will I receive a certificate?

A certificate is included only when the selected product or written corporate proposal expressly states that one will be provided. Any Academy certificate recognizes participation or completion under the stated requirements; it is not an accredited proficiency score, professional license, university credential, or government-issued qualification.

Teen and college learners

What must parents or guardians know?

Teen English serves learners ages 13–17. A parent or legal guardian must purchase and manage enrollment, provide accurate contact and scheduling information, approve participation, review online learning expectations, and follow the Parent & Teen Support guidance. Communication and content remain age-appropriate and professional.

Can you complete a student’s assignments or tests?

No. The Academy teaches skills, explains language, demonstrates strategies, and provides feedback, but does not take tests, complete graded work, impersonate learners, write submissions for academic credit, invent research, or create work that misrepresents authorship.

Can you review a college student’s writing?

The instructor may explain language, identify patterns, discuss organization, provide feedback, and teach the student how to revise original work. The student must remain the author and make the substantive academic decisions. Support must follow the school’s rules and the Academy’s academic-integrity standards.

Do you guarantee higher grades or admission?

No. English instruction may support stronger skills, but grades and admissions decisions depend on many factors outside the Academy’s control. No particular grade, acceptance, scholarship, or academic result is guaranteed.

Business English and corporate training

Is Business English only for executives?

No. Private Business English can support job seekers, individual contributors, specialists, client-facing professionals, salespeople, managers, entrepreneurs, and executives. Lessons are adapted to the learner’s role, industry, responsibilities, and communication priorities.

What is the difference between private Business English and Corporate English Training?

Private Business English is a retail one-to-one program for an individual professional. Corporate English Training is designed for an employer or organization and may include one or more employees, private coaching, small groups, workshops, custom content, coordination, and agreed reporting.

What can corporate training cover?

Possible areas include meetings, presentations, professional writing, sales conversations, prospecting, negotiation, customer communication, management, feedback, leadership, pronunciation, technical explanations, interviews, onboarding, and cross-cultural collaboration. Final content is determined through discovery and the written proposal.

What information should an organization provide?

Include the approximate learner count, locations and time zones, departments or job functions, known English levels, communication challenges, desired format, preferred start date, schedule, program length, and any reporting or coordination requirements. Do not send confidential company or client material during the initial inquiry.

How is company information handled during training?

Organizations and learners should use de-identified, non-confidential, or specifically approved examples. Do not share trade secrets, restricted files, protected personal data, confidential client information, or unreleased company material without an appropriate and authorized process.

BookStore and geographic availability

Are online English lessons available outside the United States?

Online instruction may be available to international learners when scheduling, payment, technology, program suitability, and instructor availability allow. All prices displayed by the store are in USD unless stated otherwise.

Does the BookStore ship internationally?

No. Physical BookStore products are sold only to eligible addresses within the United States. Online English instruction and physical book sales have different geographic availability.

Are BookStore products included with lessons?

No book or physical product is automatically included with a lesson or program unless the relevant product description or written agreement expressly says that it is. BookStore purchases are separate orders and follow the applicable shipping and refund terms.

Can I return a physical book?

Only if the book arrived damaged or you received an incorrect item. Report the issue immediately and no later than 7 calendar days after delivery, with the order number and clear photographs. Keep the book and packaging, and do not mail a return until Corporate Lingua Academy approves the request and provides instructions. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted except where required by law.

Policies, privacy, and additional help

What is the refund policy?

For live services, eligibility depends on purchase timing, scheduling status, and sessions already delivered, cancelled late, or missed. Physical books are returnable only when damaged or incorrect and reported within 7 calendar days after delivery. Review the current Refund Policy before purchasing.

How is personal information handled?

The Academy collects information needed to operate the website, process orders, communicate, schedule, and deliver services. A parent or legal guardian controls enrollment for every minor learner. Teen instruction is limited to ages 13–17, and children under 13 should not submit personal information or enroll. Review the Privacy Policy for details. Learners should remove confidential or unnecessary personal information from examples and documents before sharing them.

Still need help?

Email sales@corporatelinguaacademy.com with the learner category, country or time zone, preferred schedule, and main English goal. Organizations should also include the approximate number of learners, job functions, desired training format, and target start date.
