Private English for Teens
Private English for Teens is designed for learners ages 13–17 who want focused, one-to-one support to communicate more clearly and confidently at school and beyond. Instead of placing every student into the same general course, each live 45-minute online lesson is adapted to the learner’s current English level, pace, interests, academic needs, and future goals.
The program develops practical language skills through active use. Students do more than review rules: they speak, listen, explain, read, write, ask questions, organize ideas, and receive immediate guidance. Lessons can strengthen important foundations while also helping with current challenges such as class participation, presentations, reading comprehension, or expressing ideas in complete sentences.
Who this program is designed for
Private Teen English may be a strong fit for students who:
- Understand some English but hesitate to speak or give short answers.
- Need clearer grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, or writing skills.
- Want to participate more confidently in class discussions and presentations.
- Need additional English support alongside school—not someone to complete schoolwork for them.
- Are preparing for future college study, interviews, travel, or international communication.
- Learn better with individual attention than in a large group setting.
Skills teens can develop
- Speaking: building complete responses, explaining opinions, asking follow-up questions, and participating in conversations.
- Listening: identifying key ideas, following instructions, understanding natural speech, and responding appropriately.
- Pronunciation: improving individual sounds, word stress, rhythm, pacing, and overall clarity.
- Grammar and vocabulary: using new language accurately in meaningful situations instead of memorizing isolated rules.
- Reading and writing: understanding texts, organizing ideas, developing paragraphs, and revising original work.
- Academic communication: preparing for class discussions, presentations, interviews, collaborative projects, and future college expectations.
- Independent learning: developing stronger study habits, self-correction skills, and strategies for continued improvement.
What a private lesson looks like
Every lesson has a clear purpose, but the exact activities change according to the student’s needs. A session may include:
- Review and check-in: revisit recent language, practice, or a current communication challenge.
- Focused instruction: learn a useful skill, pattern, strategy, or vocabulary set in clear, age-appropriate language.
- Active practice: use English through conversation, role-play, reading, writing, presentation practice, or guided problem-solving.
- Feedback and correction: identify what is working, correct priority errors, and practice a clearer or more natural version.
- Next step: leave with a specific point to review or practice before the next session.
Depending on the learner, lessons may use school-related topics, age-appropriate articles, short videos, discussion questions, practical scenarios, creative projects, or presentation activities. Materials are selected to support the learning goal—not simply to fill time.
A learning plan built around the student
The first stage identifies the student’s strengths, communication gaps, interests, and priorities. Some learners need a broad English foundation; others need concentrated help with speaking, pronunciation, academic writing, or school communication. The instructor uses this information to create a practical direction and adjusts the balance of skills as the student develops.
Progress may appear as longer and clearer answers, greater willingness to participate, stronger organization, fewer repeated errors, improved listening, clearer pronunciation, or more independent revision. The pace will vary according to starting level, attendance, participation, and practice outside lessons.
Age-appropriate instruction and guardian involvement
Lessons use clear expectations, respectful communication, and content suited to learners ages 13–17. Because every learner in this program is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must complete the purchase and enrollment, provide accurate contact and scheduling information, and approve participation before lessons begin.
Private instruction supports English development, but it does not replace the student’s school, guarantee a particular grade or admission result, or include completing graded work on the student’s behalf. Guardians should review the Parent & Teen Support page and Privacy Policy before enrollment.

Learners in other time zones are welcome when a workable time is available. Please review the Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy and Refund Policy before enrollment.
What happens after enrollment
- The parent or legal guardian selects and purchases the appropriate monthly plan.
- The guardian and student provide goals, current concerns, availability, and relevant learning information.
- The first lessons establish priorities and the best starting point.
- The instructor builds a consistent lesson rhythm and adjusts the plan as the student progresses.
No specific school grade, test score, admissions result, or rate of improvement is guaranteed. The program provides structured instruction, guided practice, and individualized feedback; results depend in part on consistent attendance, participation, and practice.
