Last updated: September 10, 2026. Private English for Teens is designed exclusively for learners ages 13–17. This page explains the parent or legal guardian’s role in enrollment, privacy, communication, attendance, and a safe online learning environment.

Who may enroll a learner

A parent or legal guardian must complete the purchase and enrollment for every learner under 18, accept the applicable policies on the learner’s behalf, provide accurate contact information, and remain the primary contact for scheduling, billing, consent, and safety matters. A minor should not create a customer account, place an order, or submit enrollment information independently.

If the adult purchasing is not the legal guardian, contact Corporate Lingua Academy before enrollment so we can determine what authorization is required. We may pause or decline enrollment when identity, age, custody, or authority is unclear.

Age eligibility

The learner must be at least 13 and no older than 17 when enrollment begins. Corporate Lingua Academy does not enroll children under 13 in live English instruction. The guardian must provide the learner’s correct age and may be asked to confirm age or guardian authority before lessons begin.

If we discover that an enrolled learner is under 13 or that required guardian authorization is missing, we may pause or cancel enrollment while the matter is reviewed. If you believe a child under 13 contacted us or submitted information, email us promptly.

Information used for instruction

We may use the learner’s first name, age or age range, English level, goals, availability, attendance, responses, voice or video during the live lesson, instructor observations, and work voluntarily shared for feedback. Families should provide only what is reasonably needed and should avoid sending government identification, medical records, passwords, payment-card information, or other highly sensitive material.

Communication with families

Scheduling, access, billing, consent, safety, and policy communication should use the guardian contact listed on the order. The Academy may communicate with the learner during the live lesson and through any learning channel approved by the guardian. We do not ask a minor to hide communications from a parent or guardian.

A guardian should notify us if contact information changes or if there are reasonable communication boundaries we should understand before instruction begins. Meeting links must not be posted publicly or shared with an unauthorized person.

Safe online lesson environment

• The learner should join from a quiet, age-appropriate space where a guardian can reasonably provide support if needed.
• A responsible adult should be reachable during the session if a safety, access, or technology problem occurs.
• The device, internet connection, camera, microphone, and meeting link should be tested before class.
• The learner should use the correct first name and may not invite another person into the lesson without approval.
• Clothing, background, language, files, and on-screen content must be appropriate for an educational setting.
• A guardian should not leave a child in a situation requiring the instructor to provide supervision, emergency care, or childcare.

Recording, screenshots, and sharing

Corporate Lingua Academy does not routinely record private lessons. Neither the learner nor the guardian may record, photograph, screenshot, livestream, or redistribute a session or another person’s image, voice, chat, or materials without advance written permission from the Academy and every party whose permission is required. If the Academy proposes a recording, the guardian will receive advance notice and may decline unless recording is essential to a separately agreed service.

Learning support and guardian participation

The guardian may share goals, relevant learning preferences, school context, or reasonable accommodation needs before class. During the lesson, the learner should have enough space to answer independently. A guardian may observe or participate when agreed in advance and when doing so supports the learner.

General progress observations may be shared periodically, but detailed reporting after every lesson is not included unless stated in the product or a written agreement. The Academy may balance guardian communication with an age-appropriate, respectful learning relationship.

Schoolwork and academic integrity

Instruction can explain language, strengthen skills, practice presentations, review organization, and guide a learner through their own revision. The Academy will not complete graded assignments, take tests, impersonate the learner, communicate deceptively with a school, or produce work the learner presents as entirely their own.

Attendance, cancellations, and the 60-day period

The guardian should help the learner arrive on time and review the 24-hour cancellation rule. Monthly private lesson packages must be completed within 60 calendar days from the confirmed program start date. Timely rescheduled sessions must also fit within that period, and unused sessions do not automatically roll over.

Conduct and safeguarding concerns

Respectful conduct is required from learners, guardians, and anyone present. The Academy may end or pause a session if there is harassment, threatening behavior, inappropriate content, unauthorized participation, recording, identity uncertainty, or a safety concern. When appropriate, the guardian will be contacted before services resume.

Emergencies and limits of the service

Online language instruction is not childcare, health care, counseling, emergency monitoring, or crisis response. In an emergency, contact local emergency services and the child’s responsible adult. The guardian remains responsible for the learner’s physical environment, wellbeing, and supervision.

Parent and guardian privacy rights

A parent or legal guardian may ask to review, correct, or delete a minor learner’s personal information or object to further optional collection. If information is necessary to provide live instruction, deleting it or withdrawing permission may require enrollment to end.
